Liver cancer

Image-guided local and endovascular interventions may play a role in the treatment of liver tumors in selected cases.

Uterine fibroids

Fibroids may cause heavy bleeding, pain and pressure; embolization may be an option in selected patients.

Obstructive jaundice

Blocked bile flow may cause jaundice, itching, dark urine and infection risk.

Biliary and urinary tract obstruction

Obstruction of bile or urine flow may lead to infection, pain, and deterioration of organ function.

Chronic pelvic pain

Long-term lower abdominal or pelvic pain may have gynecologic, urinary, bowel, nerve or vascular causes.

Uterine bleeding

Heavy or irregular uterine bleeding may cause anemia, weakness and a need for urgent intervention.

Renal tumors

Masses detected in the kidney should be carefully assessed according to their size, structure, and risk of spread.

Pulmonary embolism

A blood clot entering a pulmonary artery can cause sudden shortness of breath, chest pain, and a life-threatening condition.

Varicocele

Dilation of the testicular veins may cause pain, heaviness and, in some cases, affect sperm quality.

Benign prostate enlargement

Prostate enlargement can result in a weak urine stream, nighttime urination, and incomplete bladder emptying.

Diseases of the arterial and venous systems may present with pain, swelling, wounds, and impaired circulation.

Peripheral artery disease

Narrowing of the blood vessels in the legs and arms can cause pain while walking, coldness, and non-healing wounds.

Venous insufficiency

Impaired venous return of blood from the legs to the heart may cause swelling, heaviness and skin changes.

Diabetic foot

In diabetes, a foot ulcer, infection and impaired circulation can increase the risk of tissue loss.

Varicose veins

Enlarged leg veins may be associated with pain, heaviness, swelling and skin changes.

Deep vein thrombosis

A clot in a deep vein can cause leg pain and swelling and, if it breaks loose, may lead to pulmonary embolism.

Aortic aneurysm

Enlargement of the aorta may carry a risk of rupture or dissection; its size and growth rate should be monitored.

Lymphedema

Impaired lymph drainage may cause long-term swelling of an arm or leg, heaviness and skin changes.
