For patients

Before / after procedure

Before the procedure

  • Follow the preparation instructions given by your doctor precisely (fasting, stopping or continuing certain medications, documents and tests to bring).
  • Inform your doctor about all medications you take, including over-the-counter drugs and supplements.
  • Share information about allergies, chronic conditions, and any previous surgeries or procedures.
  • Discuss any unclear points, risks, and the expected outcome of the procedure with your doctor beforehand — don't leave questions unanswered.
  • If you feel anxious or afraid, tell the medical staff; getting answers to your questions can ease that anxiety.
  • Choose comfortable clothing for the day of the procedure and try to arrive on time.

After the procedure

  • Follow the rest regimen prescribed by your doctor and keep physical activity within the recommended limits.
  • Follow the medication schedule (doses, timing, completing the course) exactly, without changing it on your own.
  • Watch the procedure site for swelling, redness, discharge, or bleeding.
  • Contact your doctor or medical facility without delay if you notice: ongoing or worsening bleeding, severe pain, fever, shortness of breath, or a sudden decline in your general condition.
  • Attend follow-up check-ups and reviews at the scheduled time.
  • Share any questions that come up during recovery with the medical staff, even if they seem minor.
