Endovenous Laser Ablation (EVLA)

EVLA is based on delivering energy produced by a laser generator into the varicose vein through a fibre-optic catheter, and on closing the vein by the resulting heat. Before treatment, the main source of reflux is identified with venous Doppler mapping and treatment is planned in stages.
